Terms and Conditions

Legal information for InstantStack and InstantFilter customers.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of instantstack.co and your purchase and use of InstantFilter, a WooCommerce filter plugin developed by InstantStack (WebKenner, Tom van den Hengel).

By accessing our website, starting a trial, or purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software or services.

1. About InstantStack and InstantFilter

InstantStack develops performance-focused WordPress and WooCommerce tools. InstantFilter is sold as subscription software with tier-based limits on websites, custom listings, and indexed products. Product details and current limits are published on the pricing page.

2. License grant

When you purchase or start a valid trial, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use InstantFilter on WordPress sites within the limits of your plan. You receive a license key by email after checkout via Lemon Squeezy.

You do not acquire ownership of the software, source code, or branding. Reverse engineering, redistribution, sublicensing, or reselling the plugin or license keys is not permitted unless we give written permission.

3. Subscriptions and billing

  • Payments, renewals, and invoices are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record.
  • Plans may be billed monthly or yearly, as shown at checkout.
  • Every plan includes a 14-day free trial. Your card may be collected at checkout, but you are only charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in the Lemon Squeezy customer portal.
  • Upgrades and downgrades are managed through the customer portal. Upgrades may be pro-rated.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use InstantFilter outside the scope of your license tier or on more sites than allowed.
  • Share, publish, or resell license keys.
  • Attempt to bypass license validation or product limits.
  • Use the software in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Introduce malware or attempt unauthorized access to our systems.

We may suspend or revoke a license if these rules are violated.

5. Your responsibility — staging, backups, and production use

InstantFilter interacts with your WordPress installation, WooCommerce catalog, theme, caching layer, and other plugins. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether the plugin is suitable for your environment and for the consequences of installing or configuring it.

Before deploying InstantFilter on a live (production) store, you must:

  • Test the plugin on a staging or development copy of your site that mirrors your production stack as closely as possible.
  • Verify indexing, filtering, checkout flows, SEO output, and caching behaviour under realistic load.
  • Create and maintain full backups of your database and files before installation, updates, re-indexing, or major configuration changes.
  • Confirm compatibility with your theme, page builder, cache plugin, and other WooCommerce extensions.

Deploying to production without adequate staging and backups is at your own risk. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, broken layouts, checkout issues, or other problems arising from production use — including when those problems are caused or triggered by a bug in InstantFilter.

6. Updates and compatibility

We ship updates to improve performance, fix bugs, and add features. Updates are included while your subscription is active. InstantFilter is built for WordPress and WooCommerce, but we do not guarantee compatibility with every theme, builder, hosting stack, or third-party plugin combination.

Updates may change plugin behaviour, database structures, or indexing output. You are responsible for reading the changelog, testing updates on staging, and deciding when to apply them to production.

7. Support

Support is provided according to our Support Terms and the documentation at instantstack.co/instantfilter/docs/. Support scope depends on your license tier. Support is best-effort and does not include guaranteed response times or fix deadlines unless agreed in a separate written contract.

8. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our separate Refund Policy. That policy forms part of these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

InstantFilter is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that:

  • the plugin will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs;
  • the plugin will meet your specific business requirements or performance expectations;
  • the plugin will be compatible with your particular theme, hosting, or plugin stack;
  • filtering will always achieve a specific speed, conversion rate, or SEO outcome;
  • defects will be corrected within a particular timeframe.

You use InstantFilter at your own risk. We provide software tools, not guaranteed business outcomes.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InstantStack and WebKenner are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of InstantFilter, including but not limited to:

  • lost revenue, lost profits, or missed sales;
  • loss of business, contracts, or opportunities;
  • conversion rate or SEO ranking declines;
  • cost of substitute services or downtime;
  • data loss, corruption, or recovery costs;
  • reputational harm or customer complaints;
  • issues caused by third-party themes, plugins, hosting, or custom code outside our reasonable control.

This applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, and even if a bug, defect, or outage in InstantFilter contributed to the loss.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to InstantFilter or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve (12) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where exclusion is not permitted by applicable law (including mandatory consumer rights in the EU). If you are a consumer, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InstantStack, WebKenner, and Tom van den Hengel against claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of InstantFilter, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights — except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct or fraud.

12. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. When a subscription ends, continued use of the plugin beyond the licensed period is not permitted. We may terminate or suspend access for material breach of these Terms.

Termination does not entitle you to compensation for business losses, migration costs, or missed revenue.

13. Privacy

Our processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of InstantFilter after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
